Also, by storing your modified versions of stock symbols in a separate folder, you will always have a record of which ones you modified. When you click in the icon menu to insert a stock symbol that you modified, the software will find the one in your Custom Symbols folder first. Keep the file name the same when you save changes. If you wish to modify one of the stock symbols, copy it to your Custom Symbols folder before you make changes. Add this folder to the top of the project's library list.
